Authenticity.

Part of self-love is being the real, AUTHENTIC, you.

Regardless of what that looks like.

Sure, we all have room for improvement. We can all be a nice person.

But there are the ones out there (you know who you are) who need to figure this part out. You should love yourself, but make it the real you.

Start small. Take words out of your vocabulary like, ‘I’m sorry’ when it comes to ridiculous things like choosing how you spend your time. (Obviously, apologize if you’re an asshole. I’m talking things like, ‘I’m so sorry I can’t make it tonite.’ Silly things like that.)

Start small by really thinking about your next move, and the reason behind it. ‘Am I doing this so they’ll like me better?’ If the answer is yes, then it’s probably a hard no. ‘Am I doing this because I’ve been guilted into it?’ Hard no. ‘Am I saying this super stupid thing I’d never actually say out loud, because I’m panicking and don’t want to answer honestly?’ Whoopsy. (Again, there are times you are just obligated to go or do the thing. It is what it is. I’m talking in the everyday little things/exchanges we have.)

Authenticity is self-love’s bestie. They just go together. Because if you’re loving a fake sense of self... doesn’t that KINDA defeat the purpose?

Be nice. Be real. But be YOU. Because you (the REAL you) are Luxuriously Dope. 🖤
