I Quit My Self-Tanner For a Week. Here’s What Happened.

It’s no secret I’ve been addicted to my self-tanner for… a minute. (Or years. Whatever.)
There’s just something about that bronze glow that makes me feel like I can do anything!
But recently, my health anxiety has gotten the best of me, and I decided that MAYBE all those chemicals I use regularly use aren’t it.
(Plus, I always admire those beautiful girlies who embrace their glowy porcelain skin!)
So I quit it.
Mostly cold turkey.
Ok fine. A little bit of Jergens Natural Glow lotion softened the blow.
A week later, and here’s where I’m at:
Absolutely no.
I will be reapplying my deepest darkest tan as soon as I step out of the shower today.
Why?
Because it makes me feel good.
That’s it. That’s all.
I’m not saying you should do everything because it feels good. (Drugs are bad, ok?!) But ffs, if my self-esteem and mood need a little bronzing and boosting… then imma do it.
(And for the health anxiety part? I did order a new one to try that is free of the dangerous and toxic chemicals. I’ll keep you posted!)
Sometimes it’s the little things that are actually the big things. My little self-tanning habit actually single-handedly creates a more confident and happy individual.
And confident and happy? That’s Luxuriously Dope. 🖤
